19.1 Anti fascist Athens

Here is a flyer/poster I did for the antifascist demonstration that will take place in Athens in 19th of January.

This is a panel from a story I just finished and will be published in a few days at Κοπάνα, the zine of  the anti-authoritarian space "Antipnia" . The script were from the guys at Antipnia. I did the drawings.

There will be some more comics for this zine.

Κοπάνα (Kopana) in greek slang usually means

when a student is sliping the class.

A fan art illustration I did for the Spanish website entrecomics.com. It's my version of Cannibal Fuckface,

the main motherfuckin character of Johnny Ryan's comic book, Prison Pit.

This year, I have the honour to be invited from the Greek Culture Foundation in Berlin for the Graphic Novel day

of the 12th Literature Festival of Berlin.

A lot of comic artists around Europe, will be there to talk about their work.

So, the 8th of September, will be a day full of comics in the Haus der Berliner Festspiele. You will find it at Schaperstraße 24.

I will present Hard Rock #1. Scroll down a little bit more to watch a video teaser and the cover of the comic book. If you are going to be there that day, you will find Hard Rock #1 at the booth of Modern Graphics. After the Graphic Novel day you will find it

at the Modern Graphics store which is located at Oranienstraße 22, Kreuzberg.

Πριν από λίγο καιρό, επικοινώνησαν μαζί μου από το ιταλικό περιοδικό L'antitempo. Ήθελαν ένα κόμικς μου σχετικό με την κρίση και γενικά την φάση που περνάει ο πλανήτης αυτό τον καιρό. Ήταν η κατάλληλη στιγμή για να δημοσιευθεί αυτό το "χαμένο" επεισόδιο του Όλα είναι Κόμικξς! που είχα σχεδιάσει πριν δυο χρόνια, με ελαφρώς αλλαγμένο τέλος. Άλλος ένας γνώριμος guest σε αυτό το τεύχος του L'antitempo, είναι ο Tomek.


About a month ago, I had an email from the italian magazine, L'antitempo. They wanted a story about the crisis and all the crap that the planet is into right now. It was just the right time to publish this "lost" episode from the comics series Everything is Comicxs! which I did two years ago, with a little bit of alternative ending. Another guest from Greece at this issue of L'antitempo is Tomek.

Comics for Athens & Epidaurus Festival 2012. #1

Αυτό είναι το πρώτο επεισόδιο της μίνι σειράς Φεστιβαλοκομικσοκαταστάσεις.

This is the first episode of the mini series Festivalocomicsokatastasis. Hard to translate the title but I tried and translated the comic (scroll down a little bit more). Not so good but you'll get the main idea.

Φεστιβαλοκομικσοκαταστάσεις. Μονοσέλιδο κόμικς που θα βρείτε στο προσεχές τεύχος του περιοδικού "ΕΦ" του Φεστιβάλ Αθηνών & Επιδαύρου. Συνολικά θα είναι πέντε σελίδες. Πέντε τεύχη δηλαδή. Μέχρι και τον Ιούλιο. Θα τα ανεβάζω και εδώ. Σε μια εβδομάδα το πρώτο.

Festivalocomicsokatastasis (I just can't translate it...). One page comic strip that you'll find at the next issue of the "EΦ" magazine of Athens & Epidaurus Festival. Five comic strips, five issues, till July. I will upload them here in greek language and maybe with english translation too.

Πριν τρεις μήνες είχα αναφέρει εδώ στο blog ότι ξαναρχίζει η σειρά, "Όλα είναι Κόμικξς!", που δημοσίευα κάποτε στο περιοδικό 9. Τότε έγραφα ότι η διάρκεια θα είναι τρεις μήνες, δηλαδή μέχρι και χθες (27/04/2012). Τελικά όμως πήγε πολύ πιο καλά απ' όσο φανταζόμουν και έτσι το "Όλα είναι Κόμικξς!" θα συνεχιστεί καθημερινά, στο socomic.gr, εκτός Σαββάτου και Κυριακής, μέχρι και το τέλος Αυγούστου. Σας ευχαριστώ όλους όσους μπαίνετε και διαβάζετε!
